Principal's Welcome Back Message
From the Desk of Mrs. Tellier-Phillips
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
September is such an exciting time for us; welcome to a new school year and a new beginning.
Notre Dame School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6 community of lifelong learners with Catholic education as our purpose. Our school and staff are committed to developing the full potential of every child. The staff here at Notre Dame School look forward to providing a positive, safe and caring environment, where all are welcome and respected. We are also excited about the coming school year that promises new opportunities for learning and growing in our Faith.
As Dr. Troy Davies, our STAR Catholic Superintendent, reminded us at our Divisional Faith Reflection Day, the early followers of Christ’s teachings were not known as Catholics or Christians, they were simply known as People of The Way. It was through their actions, their love and service to one another, that they were recognized. It was because they learned The Way, came to Love the Way and ultimately Lived The Way that the Christian world view has grown and flourished across the globe.
Learn The Way, Love The Way, Live The Way
Just like the first generations of the People of The Way, we as a Catholic school staff, we commit to doing our very best to walk in The Way while immersed in a secular world. We, as the first Christians and as human beings, will not be perfect, for we are all on a personal journey with Christ - but we commit to doing our very best to help lead a learning and loving community by walking in the Way of the Lord. We invite you to walk with us as we walk with Him.
Thank you for choosing Catholic school. Thank you for choosing The Way. We look forward to walking together.
Sincerely,
Monique Tellier-Phillips, B.Ed, M.Ed
