Welcome Back
Welcome Back! We are hoping that your summer was as restful and relaxing as ours. Mrs. Monty, Mrs. Muz, Miss Chamulka and I have been busy here preparing for another great year at École Notre Dame School. A special welcome to all our new families of Kindergarten students and new families to Notre Dame.
Here are a few important dates and reminders for the upcoming school year.
- Check our website (https://nd.starcatholic.ab.ca/) regularly for updates and information.
- Call the school between 8:00 and 4:00 pm if you have questions.
Important Dates
Thursday, August 30 – 5:00 am to 6:00 pm Welcome Back and Meet the Teacher
All students and parents are invited to meet in the gymnasium at 5:00 p.m. where a brief “Meet the Teacher” introduction will take place. Then teachers will return to the classrooms where families can meet them. Students are welcome to drop off their school supplies, if they wish, at this time.
Tuesday, September 4 – 8:30 am to 3:10 pm First Day of School
We are all very excited about the 2018/19 school year. Our gym floor was repaired, resurfaced, and re-lined over the summer. It looks great. Other projects that took place over the summer was new flooring in some of the areas of the school and repainting of lines in the parking lot. .
We remind all parents dropping off or picking up of students that the parking lot of for staff only.
I will continue to send you an e-mail at the end of each week entitled “Week at a Glance” which will keep you in the loop as to what is going on at school. Parents have told me they appreciate this as sometimes getting information from sons or daughters can be like pulling teeth! I also try to give people a sense of the excitement, fun and energy of our terrific students and staff! As always, please never hesitate to call if you have questions or concerns. Both Ms. Chamulka and myself are here to serve you and your children. We trust that God will bless and guide our students, staff and families throughout the school year. Looking forward to a great year!
